we accepted and expected its description of reality. We knew, "Outside, there're no rules like that at all" (Orson Scott Card's Olhado) and were prepared to embrace the reality of myth.

Yes, yes! AND, whereas Lewis' imagination needed to be baptized later in life, many of us had the grace of that baptism from infancy. In addition to accepting, "myth is a way of describing the rules by which the world is made, the rules that govern our lives"
